A Harbour-Side Hotel at the Heart of Orkney
The Stromness Hotel sits in the heart of Stromness, Orkney’s second-largest town, overlooking the historic harbour on the edge of Scapa Flow. Built in 1901 and lovingly restored, the hotel combines original Victorian character with modern comfort — 42 en-suite rooms, including our harbour-view rooms, several with direct sea and harbour views, and the warmth of genuine Orcadian hospitality.
As a Stromness harbour hotel, we’re ideally placed for everything Orkney has to offer: five minutes from the NorthLink ferry terminal, eight miles from Skara Brae, and a short drive from the Ring of Brodgar, the Italian Chapel, and the Churchill Barriers.
