The Stromness Hotel is a historic hotel with modern amenities and stunning views of the Orkney Islands and harbour. Built in 1901, our hotel overlooks a picturesque harbour in the Scapa Flow that hosts a wide variety of interesting places to visit and breathtaking sites to see. 

As one of the top hotels in Orkney, The Stromness Hotel is a 4-storey property with 42 ensuite rooms, all equipped with a desk, a flat-screen TV, a wardrobe, and free Wi-Fi. Some rooms also have spa baths or jacuzzis for added relaxation. You can enjoy the fine dining menu at our Scapa Flow Restaurant, which serves local and international cuisine prepared with fresh and delicious ingredients, relax at our Flattie Coffee Bar, which offers light refreshments and non-alcoholic drinks, or at our Fire Lounge, which features a cosy fireplace and comfortable seating.

Explore Stromness, a town rich in culture and heritage, and the second-most populated in the southwest of mainland Orkney. Visit the Stromness Museum, the Orkney Museum, and the St. Magnus Cathedral to learn about its fascinating history.
