Check in, is from 1500-2200, after which late check in will be from key safes
Check out, is 10am at the latest

Yes, complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel for all guests.
3. Is parking available at The Stromness Hotel?
Yes, the hotel offers free on-site parking for guests. This is limited to 5 spaces at the back of the building and should be requested, there is also street parking available, between 5pm and 9am.
4. Are pets allowed at The Stromness Hotel?
Yes, we have pet-friendly rooms available. This is limited to one room, room 17. Only one pet and small dogs are allowed.
5. What dining options are available at The Stromness Hotel?
The hotel has an on-site restaurant, the Scapa Flow, serving breakfast and dinner.
No dinner service on Wednesday and Thursday, and Sunday after 6pm as Sunday Roast is served till then.
This doesn't include the service of Tour Groups.
6. Does The Stromness Hotel have accessible rooms for guests with disabilities?
Yes, we have accessible rooms available. Please inform us of your requirements when booking.
These are limited and only from the rear entry from the carpark on the 2nd floor.we would advice that these guests are accompanied by someone abled bodied.

Yes, The Stromness Hotel is an alcohol-free establishment. We offer a variety of non-alcoholic beverages in our restaurant. Please advise the guests that if they wish to bring their own, this is fine but we ask that it isn’t consumed in communal areas.

Breakfast is included with certain room rates. Please check your booking details to confirm if breakfast is included. But breakfast is available to all guests with a charge.
9. What is the cancellation policy at The Stromness Hotel?
Our cancellation policy varies depending on the booking type:
Flexible: Cancel free of charge until 3 days before arrival. The total price will be charged if cancelled within 3 days of arrival.
Monthly: Cancel free of charge until 5 days before arrival. The total price will be charged if cancelled within 5 days of arrival.
Early Bird: Non-Refundable.

10. How do I get to The Stromness Hotel?
The hotel is located in the heart of Stromness, Orkney. From Kirkwall Airport, you can take a taxi. Public transportation options, including buses, are also available from Kirkwall to Stromness. If you're driving, follow the A965 road from Kirkwall to Stromness. If you are arriving by ferry, the hotel is a short walk from the Stromness Ferry Terminal. Please check local bus and ferry schedules for specific timings.
