Very nice

The room was clean & comfortable. Due to the ferry cancellation we had to book this accomodation at short notice , compared to others that we had previously booked on Orkney this was expensive especially considering it was without breakfast which would have been an extra £15 each.

First this is really a hotel, not a classic AirBnB. We liked the location of the place - across from the ferry terminal, easy walk to things around Stromness, and they had parking, though you need the nerves of a Scot to make the drive and get into the lot - especially the two way streets that are literally wide enough for barely one car. But that’s Scotland for you. The room was ok… the beds (three twins) were comfy and it was great that they included extra pillows. The layout and lighting were weird, however, and the corner next to my and wife’s bed screamed for a table lamp… but there wasn’t one, possibly because all the outlets seems to only be across the room. The overhead lights were pretty bad and did not really make for a cozy feeling room. Also very little floor space to open our bags. Breakfast was fine but FAR too expensive for what we got… a bit like the room. All in all not a bad option if you need a place right in town near the ferry.
